Problem Note 58910: The %DI_JOB_SO DERIVE_STOCKOUT_GP_STATUS task treats initial inventory records with zero available quantity as start of active period

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

The SAS® Size Profiling %DI_JOB_SO DERIVE_STOCKOUT_GP_STATUS task treats the earliest start date for a store/SKU combination in the PRF_INVENTORY table as the start of active period, regardless of the inventory balance. If the earliest record for a store/SKU combination represents a zero on-hand balance (CLOSE_INV_UNITS - DISPLAY_UNITS = 0), then the DERIVE_STOCKOUT_GP_STATUS task uses that record's date as the active period start date for that store/SKU combination. This results in an active period that starts prematurely, instead of one that starts on the week of the first nonzero on-hand balance. This leads to inaccuracies in the active period duration.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

After the fix is installed, the DERIVE_STOCKOUT_GP_STATUS task has a new option to set the start of the active period as the first week of positive on-hand balances for that store/SKU combination, not a zero on-hand balance. A new setting called IGNORE_ZERO_INVENTORY_IN_STRT_WK was added to the PRF_GEO_PROD_STATUS_SPEC table. The default value is 0 (disabled). To enable this change, set the value to 1 (enabled).
